Preamble
I did loads of washing and planning for our Berlin trip later in the week. I used to just wing it when preparing for trips, but I worked remotely for part of this one, so I needed to be more on it[Jump to footnote 1]. By the time we actually travelled, I was extremely chill and it was lovely.
These things happened this week
- Did my first befriending session! My person is really lovely ☺️
- Emma and I started couple’s personal training at a local gym. Hopefully we can make it stick…
- In Berlin we hung out with Simon and A for a few days. The weather was mostly glorious.
- I worked while in transit to Berlin on Thursday, and worked from Berlin cafes on Friday[Jump to footnote 2].
- Went round Simon and A’s to watch the last ever episode of Picard. Emma politely declined the invite 😄.
Overheard through the days
- “I wonder what the half-life is for blessed wine?”
- “I’ve literally never had glare from my cheeks”
Yours,Leaf
Footnotes
- Guess what kind of person I am that I have 12 colours of the same t-shirt! Actually you could probably answer with a few things there 😄 Jump to source of footnote 1
- It seems bananas that when I first went to Berlin in 2010, you couldn’t use your UK SIM’s data plan at all. These days you can[Jump to footnote 3], and at decent 5G speeds: I had a video call for work via my tethered phone, and the connection speed was better than most of the other people on the call, who were working from home! - Hopefully this never goes away, despite the absolute carnage of Brexit Jump to source of footnote 3
